Joe is president of the National Association of Lesbian & Gay Addiction Professionals and past president of the National Council on Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity.
He is a chemical dependency counsellor and works as the community educator at Alternatives, a GLBT mental-health and addiction-treatment programme with six centres in the US.
He serves on the Clinical Issues Committee of Naadac US, the Board for United Church Coalition for Lesbian and Gay Concerns, and presents on radio.
