KAY DOWD - MBACP, UKRC
Kay Dowd is an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and a registered member of the United Kingdom Register for Counselling (UKRC).
She is a humanistic-integrative counsellor, with particular interests in working with addiction, adult survivors of childhood trauma, sexuality, shame and inner-child work.
As an integrative therapist, Kay works with various models of therapy to suit the person, with the core belief that the quality of therapy relationship is at the heart of healing.
A qualified clinical supervisor, she offers both individual and group supervision to students and qualified therapists. Kay is also a core tutor on a BACP-accredited training programme. She has co-facilitated on an MA foundation year in Child Psychotherapy and often designs and delivers workshops and lectures for the private and voluntary sectors.
Kay is currently co-writing a book on Affairs: The Survival Guide for anyone who is having one, thinking of having one, or knows someone who is having one! Watch this space….
Sue Sutcliffe and Kay Dowd have worked together for 10 years. They formalised the partnership last year with the inception of the Renaissance Therapy Group. Through Renaissance, they offer interventions, family therapy, group therapy, continuing care groups and seminars for clients and professionals. They both work in private practice in Harley Street, Central London, and are preferred providers for many of the major health- insurance companies.
